Captain Jack's Quarters [Unknown Seas]
[Taking the lift up to the Captain's living space? By all means, go ahead. The captain will be here at almost all times, handling the finer points of the SS Swift either from the helm or further down in his 'office' of sorts.
Don't be shy. Step right on into the lap of luxury and meet your captain. He'll always hear you out. ]

Oh! I did see a little pamphlet of yours down in the cafe, you seem to be quite accomplished. I assume you had to claw your way through the competition, and it takes a leader of your might willing to do what it takes to run such a successful company.
[He's hoping these compliments do...something.]
Really, it seems like you had it all...what ever changed your mind to set your sights upon the sea?

Now you're speaking my language! I'm the whole package, man! Yeah, I started as a lowly code monkey, doing my work for the higher ups, but I saved Hyperion. And I also strangled the previous CEO to death after he'd pissed me off one too many times...
[Jack's mind seems to drift.]
Nah, it's like. You know, sometimes you find yourself in a place you didn't expect. A whole new world. And you decide to make something of it. Get a tip from a new source about all the loot and power you could want. Get a bigass ship because... Hell, who doesn't want to be a captain of the seas? And all it takes is-
[He catches himself, as if snapped from a trance. And looks at Constantine.]
Wait, wai-wait. What's going on here?

Constantine offers Jack a wide, shit-eating grin. He snorts, and--pushing his luck more than he should, really--makes a move to lean against the desk. Not to take anything, just to kind of establish that he's a jerk and will push on Jack's personal bubble.]
Well? Don't stop on my account, Jack. [He cocks his head to the side, his smirk only growing wider.] You were saying?

Constantine's straightforwardness manages at least one thing: it pushes Jack back. Just a step, more to have space, but it's enough for Constantine to get a closer look at those half-hidden blueprints if he so wished.]
...Oh. Yeah. I get what's happening here.
[Jack's brief surprise disappears quickly, replaced by a flash of... something in those narrowing eyes. Did he know?]
2/2
[The malicious air instantly vanishes as Jack oh-so-casually lays that whole thing out.]
Hey. Another time, another place, maybe.

Shame. Another time, another place, maybe. Suppose I best be goin' and tryin' my luck with Jonesy, then, aye?
[He hangs his head in mock disappointment, shaking it slowly as he tries and get a better look at the blueprints. What can he make out in this brief moment that he's gained?]
no subject
[In this brief moment, Constantine gets a perfect look at what he could see of the blueprints; they are... hard to make out, full of scientific equations scribbled in cursive that probably make sense to the person that wrote them. All of that over a partially obscured, white diagram of what several lines seem to indicate is a gateway machine to connect different dimensions-]
Hey! Hyperion to Constantine! You still here?
no subject
Hm?
[His head snaps up to look at Jack. Within an instance, his analytical gaze transforms into a saccharine smile. He got what he came for--and he needs to get out before Jack can pick apart his cover.]
Oh, simply fantasizing about what I can't attain at the moment. You know how it is.
[He lets out a dramatic sigh, standing up straight and shoving his hands into his pockets. He begins to wander off towards the elevator doors, giving a small wave of his hand.]
But, just so y'know--if you ever get bored, my offer's open. Tah!
